Business Systems Analyst

Previous API project experience is required, including experience supporting API integrations.
Ability to document API requirements, data mappings, business logic, integration rules, source-to-target data needs, dependency diagrams, and end-to-end process flows.
Strong general Business Systems Analyst experience, including requirements elicitation, stakeholder interviews, current-state and future-state analysis, gap analysis, story writing, acceptance criteria definition, and documentation ownership.
Experience working in Agile or SAFe environments with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, developers, QA, architects, and business stakeholders.
Ability to write clear user stories, split large stories into smaller deliverables, groom and refine backlogs, and support release and sprint planning activities.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex systems, uncover unarticulated requirements, identify edge cases, and connect business needs to technical solutions.
Ability to bridge communication between business and technology teams, translating technical concepts for business partners and business needs for engineering teams.
Strong documentation organization skills with the ability to create clear, structured artifacts that support development, testing, compliance, operational readiness, and long-term knowledge transfer.
Experience supporting integrated testing efforts, including test case development, requirement traceability, defect clarification, E2E testing coordination, and UAT support.
Ability to manage ambiguity, shifting priorities, cross-team dependencies, delivery risks, and competing stakeholder needs in a large, matrixed enterprise environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Financial services, retirement services, recordkeeping, payment processing, operational transaction processing, or other highly regulated industry experience.
Experience using Jira, Rally, Confluence, Visio, or similar tools for requirements management, process documentation, backlog tracking, and cross-team coordination.
Familiarity with regulatory, compliance, legal, risk, or controls considerations impacting technology delivery in financial services environments.
Ability to create process flows, activity diagrams, context diagrams, intersystem dependency diagrams, sequence diagrams, and journey maps.
