OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY :

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for leading the electrical engineering function across all commercial boiler and engineered systems product lines. This role provides technical leadership, strategic direction, and day-to-day electrical engineering functions while ensuring all products meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, performance, manufacturability, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction in a manner that is consistent with the company values and operating philosophy.

ACCOUNTABILITIES :

1) Product Development and technology leadership – Provide electrical engineering expertise ensuring designs are safe, reliable and serviceable. Monitor industry trends and advancements and implement into the client products and systems as appropriate.

2) Organizational support - Provide technical guidance to manufacturing, quality, and service teams. Review production issues and implement robust solutions. Improve manufacturing efficiency through optimized electrical design. Support factory acceptance testing and commissioning activities.

3) Compliance - Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as UL, NFPA, NEC, CSA as appropriate.

4) Engineered Customer Orders – Be a subject matter expert and lead electrical design efforts, assisting with specific job tasks including but not limited to design, approving drawings for customer orders, identifying and specifying any special-order electrical components that need to be purchased to fulfill the requirements of the order. Works with Project Management team and electrical designers to ensure pricing, availability and specifications align with project needs.

5) Quality – Establish, and maintain electrical engineering standardized procedures and libraries.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications and Required Experience) :

1) Electrical Engineering Degree preferred

2) 5+ years electrical/controls design experience preferred

3) Knowledge of both Mechanical and Electrical Design Principles
